Camp Bear is a bear event held every year at Timberfell Lodge in East Tennessee. The event was started by a group of friends in 2009 to provide an inclusive weekend party for the bear community. The Gay Bear Event, born out of a desire for visibility and acceptance, has become more than just a party. It is a sanctuary, a celebration, and a powerful reminder that beauty and acceptance in all shapes, sizes, personalities, and degrees of hairiness. This event has grown into an abundant attendance each year with plans of growth and service to the community for years to come. The 4 day event includes 8 sponsored cocktail parties, 3 themed dance parties with DJ Cubby, 5 pool parties, bear games, exclusive access to the resort amenities, and various other activities.
